QubiSet is a cross-platform lighting network monitoring and configuration tool that discovers, configures, and supervises devices from any manufacturer in a single interface. It supports Art-Net, sACN, RDM, LLRP, and Sig-Net simultaneously, giving technicians a protocol-agnostic workspace for shows and installations of any size. QubiSet also powers NETRON CLU 2.0, the next-generation configuration software for Obsidian's NETRON product line.
Built on the QubiCore protocol stack, QubiSet speaks Art-Net, sACN, RDM, LLRP, and Sig-Net simultaneously. Mixed-manufacturer networks are handled in a single view, with automatic protocol detection per device. Whether you're running a theatre with ETC fixtures, a festival with touring gear from multiple vendors, or a permanent installation with NETRON infrastructure, QubiSet covers it from one dashboard.
Lighting designers, operators, venue technicians, and system integrators choose QubiSet to reduce setup time, eliminate software clutter, and catch network problems before they become show problems. The app runs on macOS and Windows, with automatic updates built in.
Automatic device discovery across all supported protocols, a visual network topology map, and real-time RDM sensor readback (temperature, voltage, runtime hours) give you full visibility into your lighting network. Wrong-subnet flagging for LLRP-capable devices catches IP configuration mismatches automatically, and a live DMX universe viewer lets you verify channel data without leaving the app.
QubiSet is currently in open beta. The latest release, v0.2.1, includes Sig-Net integration, RDM sensor support, bulk device editing, device groups, a live DMX universe viewer, external controller detection, and deeper NETRON integration. Development progress and technical deep-dives are published regularly on the blog.
QubiSet is free during the open beta. Download it directly from this page, no registration required. Join the QubiSet Discord for direct access to the development team, bug reports, and feature discussions. We're also looking for venues and production companies willing to test QubiSet on real-world networks. If that's you, reach out through Discord or get in touch.
Development is shaped by the people who use QubiSet. The Discord community is the fastest way to request features, report issues, and discuss workflow improvements directly with the team.
