QubiSet is now free to download and use! No access code required.
If you've been curious about what a dedicated lighting network monitoring and configuration tool can do for your setup, this is the release to start with.
Version 0.1.9 brings improvements to network visualization, device configuration, and how QubiSet communicates changes back to you.

Network View Improvements

The Network View now renders device connections more accurately.
Connection-to-port mapping and edge ordering logic have been improved, and the graph handles sparse or non-sequential connected ports more reliably.
The result: what you see on screen matches how your devices are actually connected, including setups where not every port on a node is in use.
Property Update Feedback

When you change a device setting in QubiSet like a DMX address, an IP parameter or a mode, the affected property is now highlighted in green (successful) or red (failed) directly in the configuration menu. You know immediately whether the change was applied without having to re-query the device or guess.
Protocol Badges

The device details view now displays protocol badges (Art-Net, sACN, RDM, NETRON) directly, joining the badges already available on the nodes in the network view. One more place the information appears, so you don't have to click back into the network view to see them.
Partner Hardware: NETRON in QubiSet

QubiSet treats every device on your network equally. But when we work closely with a hardware partner, we can go deeper. Implementing their device APIs to surface configuration, maintenance, and operational features that protocol discovery alone can't reach.
Our most advanced integration right now is with Obsidian's NETRON product line. Open a NETRON device in QubiSet and you'll see the difference: more detailed device information, richer configuration options, and dedicated workflows that reflect how the hardware actually works.
This is the kind of integration we want to build for more manufacturers over time. If you're building lighting network hardware and want your devices to have this level of support inside QubiSet, reach out.

Technical Details
For the really engaged ones here are some more technical changes that happenend in this version.
Per-protocol IP settings. QubiSet now supports configuring IP settings on a per-protocol basis. If your rig runs Art-Net and sACN with different addressing requirements on the same physical network, you can configure each protocol's IP parameters independently rather than relying on a single global network setting.
Device configuration UX. Incremental polish across the configuration interface: numeric input fields handle out-of-range values and cleared fields more gracefully, slider controls behave more predictably, and conditional fields (settings that only apply in certain device modes) now show and hide based on the current configuration state. Layout overflow issues on devices with large parameter sets have been fixed.
Desktop installer. The installer now removes previous QubiSet versions automatically during installation.
Stability fixes. Various fixes improving overall application reliability.
